Grow Your
Own Herbs
Growing herbs at home has
benefits beyond flavor

Keeping a simple herb garden, either outside or indoors, offers tranquility and dollars in your pocket. Herbs such as basil and rosemary require minimal maintenance and will continue to grow after each use. When left to mature, basil will grow flowering seeds which can be clipped and sprinkled back onto the soil for future plants. Rosemary can grow into large bushes which provide years worth of yummy goodness for cooking! If you grow too many herbs to use at once, simply dry them out and store in glass jars for later use.

Gardening has also been known to reduce stress levels. Growing your own herbs will not only bring you a sense of peace, but also save you a few dollars. Herbs can be quite expensive at the supermarket, but 50 organic basil seeds only cost $2 online. Web sites, such as Heirloom Seeds, offer many options for having quality seeds delivered to your mailbox. Life doesn't get much more convenient than that!
