DYING CITY
by Christopher Shinn
April 15 - May 9, 2010

Dying City, Pulitzer Prize Finalist of 2008, is a powerful thriller and a gripping, psychological drama. A year after her husband's death in Iraq, Kelly, a young therapist, confronts his identical twin brother, who shows up at her apartment unannounced. At first it seems to be a story of a wife and brother left grieving after a soldier's baffling death in Iraq, but as the layers are peeled away, we find it a tender, then shockingly raw and complex, portrait of three very different people.

Adrienne Arsht Center
April 9-11, 2010
Friday, April 9 at 8pm
Saturday, April 10 at 8pm

In this Jerome Robbin's masterpiece, ten dancers, live Chopin piano music and endlessly beautiful and original invention are a celebration of dance, dancers...and life.
Who Cares?
(Balanchine/Gershwin)Classical, but with a Broadway feel!

Classical dance presented in the style of a Gershwin musical, Who Cares? is a breezy, romantic work in which one man woos three women against the backdrop of a New York skyline.

MAGIC
Creating magic is something that we crave
Sometimes, to its essence we become a slave
By following the methods, "our goals" we show
That sometimes we know only one way to go
Listening and obeying takes lots of energy
To see magic we know is in-spirited
through soul memory
